Podgorica, (MINA) – The United Arab Emirates (UAE) will send two Black Hawk helicopters to assist Montenegro’s rescue and protection services in extinguishing fires, it was agreed during a conversation between Prime Minister Milojko Spajic and UAE Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
According to the press release from his office, Spajic spoke by phone with Al Nahyan about the possibility of providing support to prevent the further spread of the fires and recovery of the affected areas.
“Al Nahyan expressed firm solidarity with the people of Montenegro and confirmed the readiness of the UAE to provide assistance and necessary resources to mitigate the consequences of the fire”, the press release said.
Spajic thanked the UAE for the friendly gesture and pointed out the importance of international cooperation in order to overcome the current situation.
