Tirana, international ballet hub in course of three weeks

TIRANA, Sept 21 /ATA/.Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation Blendi Gonxhja said that the Festival of Contemporary Ballet will transform Tirana in the course of three weeks into a contemporary ballet hub.

Gonxhja said that this important cultural event will take place on the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet, the National Theatre, the “Skanderbeg” Square and the courtyard of Villa 31.

Meanwhile, world-renowned Albanian choreographer Angjelin Preljocaj at an inspiring press conference, preceding a series of artistic activities in Albania, international dance festival, supported by the Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation and the Albanian Government, as well as the Municipality of Tirana, disclosed details of this festival.

Maestro Preljocaj shared his vision on contemporary art, breathing new life into our cultural scene.

This meeting was welcomed by artists and art lovers, who called it an important step towards strengthening international cultural ties.

International Dance Festival Tirana opened last night with “Swan Lake” a fascinating classic ballet that brings elegance and drama to the stage, telling the story of the doomed love between Odetta and Prince Siegfried, composed by Tchaikovsky.
