TIRANA, August 28/ATA/ The Ambassadors Conference “Tirana Diplo 2024”, organized in Tirana by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, continued today its proceedings on the third day.
In the discussion panel moderated by journalist Armand Mero, with the participation of Minister of Finance Petri Malaj, Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation Blendi Gonxhja, AIDA CEO Laura Plaku Saro and President of the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Albania Ines Muçostepa, it was discussed economic diplomacy, an important foreign policy instrument for the advancement of Albania’s economic development and sharing of successful models with other countries.
The panelists emphasized the irreplaceable role of embassies as the main point of contact with host countries, standing on the front line to promote the country’s economic interests, facilitate foreign investments, expand markets for Albanian exports and create strategic partnerships.
The Conference of Ambassadors is held again after eight years, where during three days of proceedings in Tirana there were discussed the challenges and opportunities of Albanian diplomacy, as well as Albania’s strategies on security, geopolitics of the region, economy, tourism, culture, and the main priority, integration in the European Union.
