TIKA projects important for farmers

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) has implemented numerous projects of importance for farmers in Montenegro.

Minister Vladimir Jokovic met with the TIKA Coordinator in Podgorica Nihal Ersoy to discuss successful projects TIKA had been implementing in different agricultural sectors, with a special emphasis on projects in beekeeping, olive growing, greenhouse production, and raspberry farming.

“Ersoy presented key initiatives that had contributed to the improvement of agricultural production in Montenegro,” stated a press release issued by the Ministry.

Jokovic expressed appreciation for the projects TIKA had carried out so far, saying that the cooperation had been very successful and important for agricultural producers in Montenegro.

He emphasized that this collaboration was of great importance for improving the lives of rural residents, particularly highlighting projects of social benefit.

“This meeting is a step forward in strengthening the ties between the Ministry of Agriculture and TIKA, while future projects are expected to contribute to further prosperity in the country’s agricultural sector,” the press release concludes.
