Three Italians are missing and still untraceable in Nepal after the deadly floods there, the Farnesina reported Thursday.
The foreign ministry said that of the dozen Italians still untraceable this morning, three cases remain.
The first is a 50-year-old goldsmith from Rapallo near Genoa, Marco Ratto, who was leaving Nepal for Tibet.
The Chinese travel agency that was supposed to take care of the group confirmed that it had lost contact at the crossing.
This information was also confirmed by the Nepalese agency directly to the family.
Then there is an Italian-Swiss couple traveling from Tibet to Nepal.
The Farnesina explains that the agency’s contact information is missing and there is still no confirmation that they crossed the crossing.
The data released by the Nepalese side, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs, is based on information shared by tour operators and may be inaccurate and may not take into account those who did not cross.
