The Cyber security State Training Center is inaugurated, it aims to raise awareness in this field

Today, the inauguration ceremony of the Cyber Security State Training Center was held, in which case it was said that this center represents the commitment, achievement and dedication of the significant opportunity in this journey.

The Prime Minister of the country, Albin Kurti, said that as technology continues to advance, the skills gap in the field of cyber security is widening.

“The inauguration of the state training center for cyber security represents a commitment and dedication and a significant growth and opportunity in this journey. The past year has been a year of progress in the development of many of our initiatives and policies in the field of cyber security. In February, we approved the Law on cyber security that creates the basis for cyber security in the Republic of Kosovo, the law foresees the establishment of key state institutions responsible for this field, the definition of obligations for kinetic infrastructure criteria and the definition of procedures for the management of cyber incidents” Kurti said.

The Minister of Defense (MoD), Ejup Maqedonci, said that this center was the main priority of the department that leads it, while adding that it will offer training in order to raise awareness of the dangers in the field of cyber security.

“Our aim is to train security institutions through this center to withstand any attack of this nature; the state training center for cyber security will offer training in order to raise awareness for risks in the field of cyber security, to improve professional skills and help raise the cyber security levels of government institutions, operators of essential services and digital service providers to achieve the capacity for the protection of critical infrastructure in the country”, said Maqedonci.

This ceremony was also attended by officials and senior officers of the MoD/FSK as well as international partner countries.
