The Central Election Commission (CEC) has started an information campaign for the citizens of Kosovo for several weeks, as the date of the election process will be announced very soon.

The spokesperson of the CEC, Valmir Elezi, in a statement to the media, said that they are distributing information brochures about the process of registration and voting outside Kosovo.

“Since we are in a period on the verge of the beginning of the election process in the Republic of Kosovo, as the date of the elections for the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo is expected to be set soon, the Election Commission has started with several information campaigns for the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo. Since a few days ago we started the information campaign about some of the changes in the law on general elections, today we started the next information campaign. Together with the colleagues of the Central Election Commission, we are distributing informative brochures about the process of registration and voting outside Kosovo”, said Elezi.

Elezi emphasized that through the distribution of these brochures to our compatriots, they will be able to be informed about how the voting process will be carried out outside Kosovo.

He said that these leaflets and brochures are being distributed at the “Adem Jashari” airport and at all the border points of the Republic of Kosovo.

“We are in vacation time and it is a period where we can meet the largest number of citizens of our compatriots who have come to visit Kosovo for vacation. Through these brochures that we are distributing, we are providing information on how the process of registering voters outside Kosovo will be carried out. Then the next stage, which is the process of voting outside Kosovo. In addition to the distribution of leaflets or informative brochures in the squares of Prishtina, other colleagues are also doing this at the ‘Adem Jashari’ Airport as well as at all the border points of the Republic of Kosovo”, said Elezi.

On Thursday, the president of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, declared that the date when the elections will be held in Kosovo will be announced very soon.
