Minister of Culture Bisera Kostadinovska-Stojchevska extended congratulations on the 115th anniversary of the codification of the Albanian language, noting that on this day, Albanian intellectuals and thinkers unified the Albanian alphabet, which laid the foundation of cultural and spiritual identity of the Albanians.
“Language is the soul of a nation, and the alphabet is its identity. We should be proud that our values are European, uniting us in diversity to build a European state,” says the Minister of Culture.
She adds that the history and spiritual heritage of the Albanians is also nurtured through the Museum of the Albanian Alphabet, where the rich heritage important for the unification of the alphabet of the Albanian language is preserved.
Kostadinovska-Stojchevska, who attended the event on the occasion of November 22 – Albanian Alphabet Day, organized by the Government, said that declaring this date as the Albanian Alphabet Day and marking one of the most significant dates for Albanians, confirms that the Macedonian society is multicultural, with the Albanian language being an integral part of the common linguistic and cultural wealth.
