Podgorica, (MINA) – The government will find the funds to buy at least one water bomber, for which there has been no solution for decades, Prime Minister Milojko Spajic has said.

He wrote on the X social network that the terrible scenes seen in Pastrovici and other places throughout Montenegro require an immediate reaction.

“We cannot tolerate the recent incapability of the state in the face of the elements that keep coming back every summer”, Spajic pointed out.

According to him, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) and the Ministry of Defense, despite the huge efforts they are currently making, need help and their initiative will not go unanswered.

“MUP has already repaired one, and will soon repair two more old, smaller fire-fighting planes. The water bomber as an addition will certainly mean a lot to them”, Spajic said.
