Social partners in FBiH agree on regulations regarding employee salaries and contributions
SARAJEVO, February 3 (FENA) – At the meeting of the Economic and Social Council for the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, social partners agreed on positions regarding two regulations.
One concerns assistance to employees from employers related to salaries above 1,000 KM, while the other deals with co-financing and refunding contributions on salaries up to 1,000 KM.
The social partners agreed on the criteria for refunding or co-financing contributions in accordance with the Decision on the Minimum Wage for 2025.
The Federation of BiH Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić stated that these are not fiscal reforms, but fiscal interventions that will help pave the way for fiscal reforms.
“Today we went through two regulations, one was technical, introducing the possibility for employers who paid workers a salary of 1,000 KM or more to increase it by up to 450 KM without additional cost, and the other is related to the refund of funds,” said Nikšić at a press conference, adding that the regulations may be adopted as early as this afternoon.
