Environment and Energy Minister Theodoros Skylakakis, addressing the Athens Energy Summit on Wednesday, referred to the importance of the energy interconnections – provided that they are efficient.
“Greece is among the major producers and consumers of energy. We are open to all efficient interconnections, we must examine the efficiency in whatever we do,” the minister said and made a special reference to the importance of the interconnections with Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Cyprus.
The minister will have a meeting on Thursday with the Energy, Trade and Industry Minister of Cyprus George Papanastasiou who also attended the conference.
