Issa Chardonnay Barrique is a dry white wine of Romanian origin, produced by La Salina Winery in Transylvania. It is known for its superior quality and distinctive characteristic, achieved by maturing in oak barrels. Bright yellow in colour, indicative of careful maturation, this Chardonnay has complex fruity aromas of peach, apple and pineapple, complemented by subtle notes of vanilla, toast and caramel.

In addition to the grand prize, La Salina Winery also received a gold medal at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles for Issa Nidus Feteasca Negra 2019 and a silver medal for Issa Chardonnay 2023.

In 2025, the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles – the pink wine competition – will take place in Romania. It will take place from 28-30 March in Constanta, Dobrogea, and is a first in the history of wine in Romania.

The Concours Mondial de Bruxelles is the first major international wine competition to choose our country as the destination for one of its competitions.
