Bucharest, Jan 8 /Agerpres/ – Films directed by Tudor Giurgiu, Emanuel Parvu, and Bogdan Muresanu will be featured at the Palm Springs International Film Festival in January.

According to a press release from the Romanian Cultural Institute in New York sent to AGERPRES on Wednesday, the three productions that will be showcased at the festival are “Anul Nou care n-a fost” (The New Year That Never Came) – directed by Bogdan Muresanu, “Trei kilometri pana la capatul lumii” (Three Kilometres to the End of the World) – directed by Emanuel Parvu, Romania’s submission for the 2025 Oscars, and “Nasty” – directed by Tudor Giurgiu.

Each of these films offers a unique perspective on history, identity and society, highlighting the diversity and remarkable creativity of Romanian filmmakers, according to the source.

As a co-organiser and co-financier of most Romanian film festivals in North America and the majority of Romanian presences at North American film festivals, the Romanian Cultural Institute, through its New York office, is the main promoter of Romanian cinema in the United States and Canada, the press release also reads.
