TIRANA, April 17/ATA/ Albania has received International Social Security Association (ISSA) award for online services at the European Competition 2024, which is taking place in Porto, Portugal.
Prime Minister Edi Rama broke the news today while sharing in the social media moments from the presentation of this award which highlights efficiency, transparency and high quality in the provision of social security benefits and services.
Rama wrote that Albania received “Certificate of Merit with Special Mention” award for special protection to unemployed women; coverage with social security elements of unemployed women due to the need to care for minor children.
Likewise, the Social Insurance Institute-Albania, which is representing the country in this activity, was also awarded with “Certificates of Merit” for 3 practices: digitalization of the social insurance archive; improving services for the provision of short-term benefits through electronic medical reports (e-Reports); as well as for all other services offered online.
The prime minister emphasized that Albania stood out with its services among 26 countries and 119 other practices presented during this competition, where innovative institutions are evaluated and which focus on improving services to citizens.
