Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to preliminary data from Monstat, Montenegro’s gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 2.7 percent in the second quarter.
According to preliminary results, GDP amounted to nearly €1.85 billion in the second quarter, compared to €1.72 billion in the same period last year.
Of the countries in the region, Serbia grew at a rate of 4 percent, Croatia by 3.3 percent, and North Macedonia by 2.3 percent.
Monstat also reported that Montenegro’s GDP grew by 6.3 percent last year.
“Last year, GDP amounted to €6.96 billion, while it reached €5.92 billion in 2022,” stated a press release issued by the Statistical Office.
GDP per capita was €10,990 last year, while it amounted to €9,600 in 2022.
