Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to Minister of Economic Development Nik Gjeloshaj, the Government has decided to extend the price capping campaign until March 31 next year, during which prices of 800 to 900 items will be reduced by 15 to 20 percent.
At a press conference, Gjeloshaj said that in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce (PKCG), producers, and wholesale and retail sectors, a series of meetings had been held in recent days, a working group was formed, and a decision was made to limit margins on a certain number of products.
“The Government’s goal was to reach a solution through agreement based on dialogue, not to impose it,” Gjeloshaj said.
The price capping campaign will be almost identical to the previous one, covering around 70 products in total.
It is expected to be published in the Official Gazette today, and implementation will begin eight days after publication to allow retail and wholesale outlets time to prepare.
