Participation of VCG troops in exercises and trainings abroad approved

Podgorica, (MINA) – The Defense and Security Council approved on Thursday participation of the Armed Forces of Montenegro (VCG) troops in four exercises and two training courses abroad, that will take place this year.

According to the press release from the President’s PR Service, this decision was made during the Council’s Thursday session.

The Council’s session was chaired by President of Montenegro Jakov Milatovic, while other participants were Parliament Speaker Andrija Mandic, Prime Minister Milojko Spajic, as well as Defense Minister Dragan Krapovic, Chief of General Staff Zoran Lazarevic and advisor to the President Dejan Vuksic.

According to the press release, the Council also discussed the future engagement of the VCG troops in the UN missions, and passed a draft decision to deploy up to three VCG members to the UN mission in Cyprus, which will be submitted to the Parliament of Montenegro.
