Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Parliament of Montenegro has officially launched a solar power plant installed on the rooftop of its building in Podgorica.
“This project marks an important step toward sustainable development and the efficient use of energy resources,” the Parliament stated in a press release.
The system features 150 monocrystalline solar panels, each with a capacity of 540 Wp, totaling 81 kWp, with a 70 kVA inverter.
The plant is expected to generate over 100,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity annually, covering a significant portion of the Parliament building’s energy needs and helping reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
“This project demonstrates the Parliament’s ongoing commitment to improving energy efficiency,” the press release states.
According to the press release, previous renovations and modernization efforts have already achieved substantial energy savings.
