The Croatian Bureau of Statistics (DZS) has released initial estimates of real income in agriculture for 2023, predicting that this year’s agricultural production will grow by 0.8% on an annual basis to €3.3 billion.
Net value added is forecast at €1.5 billion, up by 6.1%, and gross value added is projected at €1.8 billion, an increase of 5.1% compared with 2022. The value of real income in agriculture in 2023 is estimated at €1.89 billion, down by 2.3%.В
Compensation of employees is expected at €204 million, an increase of 15.1% compared with 2022.
Agricultural labour input fell by 0.1%, and the real income index in agriculture per annual work unit is estimated at €9,972, down by 10.4%.
The estimate of real income includes total agricultural production by economic operators and small family-owned farms.
