TIRANA, January 31 /ATA/ Painter Iva Lulashi will represent Albania in the 60th edition of the International Art Biennale in Venice.
Minister Blendi Gonxhja wrote in the social media that it was the Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation that enabled the “Love as a Glass of Water” project.
The Venice Biennale is one of the biggest artistic events in the international arena.
Albania’s representative Iva Lulashi has built her career between Albania and Italy. The Lulashi project, in the Albanian pavilion, will be curated by the Italian critic Antonio Grulli. Iva Lulashi was born in Albania (year 1988), but graduated in Venice (year 2016).
“Through her art, Iva Lulashi invites us to see love and instinct as a universal language, the primary force that connects man with the world. Let’s support our artist in this great journey in the international arena”, wrote Minister Gonxhja.
The macro theme of this edition of the Venice Biennale, April 20 – November 24, is “Strangers everywhere” and comes under the artistic direction of Brazilian curator Adriano Pedrosa./
