The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, met with the Counselor of the U.S. Department of State, Derek Chollet, and the US Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, with whom she discussed the developments in the dialogue with Serbia.
For this meeting, Osmani gave details on the “X” social network, reports KosovaPress.
“Stressed the importance of a principled approach to full and balanced implementation of agreements and that US role is key to successfully conclude the process, paving the way for mutual recognition”, she wrote.
Whereas Chollet said that he and Osmani had a good discussion on the joint commitment to the Euro-Atlantic future of Kosovo and the need to de-escalate tensions.
“Good discussion with President Vjosa Osmani on our shared commitment to Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic future, the need to de-escalate tensions, and engage urgently in the EU-Facilitated Dialogue to normalize relations with Serbia – the key to regional stability and EU integration”, Chollet wrote on “X”.
Osmani traveled to the USA within the framework of the 78th session of the United Nations Assembly.
