Osmani meets with the Governor of Iowa: The perpetrators of the attack in Banjska must be brought to justice
The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, was received with an official ceremony by the Governor of Iowa, Kim Reynolds.
President Osmani emphasized that Kosovo has no better ally and friend than the United States of America, with which, according to her, they share the same values of democracy, human rights and international cooperation.
In an address to the audience, Osmani said that the signing of the Iowa State Partnership Program a while ago is an essential element of strategic relations with the United States.
Furthermore, President Osmani mentioned the need for substantial economic aid and development programs initiated by the United States to support Kosovo’s economic growth and stability.
In the meeting with Governor Reynolds, it was discussed about further student exchanges, scholarships and academic collaborations between the universities of Kosovo and Iowa, including exchange in faculties, joint research projects and initiatives for building capacities in education.
It was discussed about the possibility of knowledge exchange, transfer of agricultural technology and cooperation in sustainable agricultural practices, where in the framework of this cooperation, economic relations with the state of Iowa will be improved even further. In order to strengthen this cooperation, the Minister of Agriculture, Faton Peci, is part of the President’s delegation.
President Osmani, among other things, informed the Governor about the latest developments in Kosovo, after the act of aggression that Serbia committed in the Republic of Kosovo on September 24, reports KosovaPress.
According to President Osmani, Kosovo will continue cooperation with allies, whereas the perpetrators of the terrorist attack and the act of aggression against the Republic of Kosovo committed on September 24 must be brought to justice.
