“Podcasts of Bucharest National Theater – 50 years in heart of Romania” – broadcast in last days of year

A new series of “Podcasts of the Bucharest National Theater – 50 years in the heart of Romania” will be broadcast by the National Theater “I.L. Caragiale”, on YouTube, on TNB-TV, during these last remaining days of 2023.

“The guests of Marius Bodochi, the host of the TNB podcasts, are veteran actors of the TNB stage, who will share with the public memories from the theater stage to which they have dedicated their entire lives. You will be able to listen to them in audio format – on the main podcast platforms (Redcircle, Buzzprout Spotify, Google Podcasts, Sticher), but you will also be able to see them – in the video recordings that will be broadcast on TNB-TV (https://www.youtube.com/@tnb-tvTeatrulNationalBucuresti),” reports TNB.

Marius Bodochi will have as special guests Cristina Deleanu, Eugen Cristea, Constantin Dinulescu, Rodica Popescu Bitanescu, Olga Delia Mateescu, Tamara Cretulescu, Alexandru Georgescu, Cezara Dafinescu, unforgettable actors who signed important roles on the stage of the National Theater in the last 50 years.

“We are celebrating half a century in which dozens of generations of actors, directors and scenographers made their contribution to the history of Romanian theater. During this period, outstanding personalities of Romanian culture took over the leadership of the institution and there were no less of 400 theatrical premieres, 1,500 guided tours, 135 exhibitions and dozens of other events hosted in the welcoming spaces of the institution. The titles of the performances that were presented on the stages of the Bucharest National Theater between 1973 and 2023 will be reminded to the public in a video clip which will run, until the end of the year, on the digital screens in the foyers of the theater and will be projected on the stage tower, the projection being visible in the central area of the city,” according to the quoted source.

It has been 50 years since the National Theater “I.L. Caragiale” in Bucharest has been operating in the building located at kilometer zero of the Capital, inaugurated in December 1973. Currently, TNB operates as a unique theatrical and cultural center in Romania and is established through -a diversified repertoire, but also through other points of interest located in the headquarters on B-dul Nicolae Balcescu no. 2: National Theater Museum, TNB Library and “Ion Sava” Theater Research and Creation Center. TNB gathers the public from all artistic fields, hosting exhibitions, various shows and cultural and social events.
