The Kosovo Paralympic Committee has celebrated the one year anniversary of its membership in the International Paralympic Committee, a success that was described as historic for the sport of Kosovo.

The Chairperson of the Kosovo Paralympic Committee, Njomza Emini, told KosovaPress that within this year they had many successes, but that everything culminated with the participation in the Paralympic Games that took place in Paris, where Kosovo was represented by Grevist Bytyqi.

“A long way until the membership of the Kosovo Paralympic Committee in the International Paralympic Committee, but today we are celebrating the anniversary of our membership to the largest organization in the world, the International Paralympic Committee… The membership of the Kosovo Paralympic Committee, the best result that has been achieved during this period because there are many results, but what I want to share is the participation of Kosovo in the Paralympic Games Paris 2024 and not only with the athlete Grevist Bytyqi, but also with many other results that we, as the Paralympic Committee, even before the membership, have tried to do activities in the massification of Paralympic sports”, said Emini.

Emini also announced that from now on, work and preparations will begin for the Paralympic Games to be held in Los Angeles in 2028.
