Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to Chairman of the Executive Board of the National Tourism Organization (NTO), Misko Radjenovic, Montenegro is becoming an increasingly attractive destination for Chinese tourists, whose numbers have increased by 42.4 percent compared to 2019.

“We are confident that continuous cooperation will result in further progress in the field of tourism, promoting responsible and sustainable tourism as a key factor for shared prosperity. Therefore, we will continue to cooperate with partners from China and Europe to maximize the potential of these growing markets,” Radjenovic said at the Europe-China Tourism Dialogue, held in Budapest.

The NTO stated in a press release that the event had brought together high-ranking officials and experts from the tourism industries of China and Europe to discuss current topics such as digitalization, the use of artificial intelligence, improvement of the tourism industry, marketing, and maintaining connectivity between China and Europe.

Radjenovic said that participation in this event offered an exceptional opportunity to strengthen ties between European countries and China through the exchange of best practices in tourism.
