NTO presents Montenegro’s tourism in Japan

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The National Tourism Organization (NTO) presented Montenegro as a tourist destination at Tourism EXPO Japan 2026, the largest and most important tourism fair in Japan and one of the leading tourism events in Asia.

Montenegro participated in the fair, which was held in Tokyo from Thursday to Sunday, as part of a joint European countries’ booth under the auspices of the European Travel Commission (ETC), the umbrella organization for European tourism.

“Participation in this prestigious event provided an excellent opportunity to further position Montenegro in the Japanese market, as well as to promote our country among Japanese tourists, travel agencies, tour operators, media representatives, and tourism industry professionals,” the NTO said in a press release.

The potential of Montenegro’s tourism in the Japanese market was confirmed by the fact that Japan’s leading tour operators, JTB, H.I.S., and Hankyu Travel, have included Montenegro in their travel programmes this year as part of regional tours.

Representatives of these companies said they were pleased with Japanese tourists’ interest in travelling to Montenegro, noting that, in addition to the coast, their clients increasingly want to explore other parts of the country, particularly its national parks and natural attractions.
