National Opera and Ballet to perform ‘Sleeping Beauty’

The National Opera and Ballet will perform Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s “Sleeping Beauty” ballet on Friday evening, with a reprise performance on Nov. 21.

Conducted by Bisera Chadlovska, the ballet was choreographed by Viktor Iaremenko and Tetiana Beletska from Ukraine.

On Nov. 17, the leading roles will be played by Mimi Pop Aleksova Atanasovska, Francisco Giménez Ruiz, Amanda Rocha and Angela Velevska, accompanied by the National Opera and Ballet dancers and orchestra.

On Nov. 21, the leading roles will be played by Marija Kichevska Shokarovska, Francisco Giménez Ruiz, Natasha Trendafilova Gicev and Angela Bogatinova, accompanied by the National Opera and Ballet dancers and orchestra.

Jane Bakevski is the concertmaster and Kliment Todoroski will perform the violin solo.

The set and costumes were designed by Miodrag Tabachki. The lighting designer is Milcho Aleksandrov.
