More than 12,500 Turkish companies in Montenegro

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to President of the Turkish Chamber of Commerce in Montenegro (TurkCham Montenegro) Burhan Genc, more than 12,500 Turkish companies are currently operating in Montenegro, which clearly demonstrates the confidence of Turkish businesses in the Montenegrin economy.

Speaking at the first event within the Business Talks platform, organized by TurkCham Montenegro, Genc highlighted the importance of the event for the economic relations between the two countries.

“This event is not just a consultative meeting, but an opportunity to assess the current level of economic relations between Turkey and Montenegro and to strengthen the foundations of our shared future,” Genc said.

He stated that direct investments from Turkiye in Montenegro reached €100.9 million last year, while in the first eight months of this year that amount reached nearly €92 million.

“These results confirm that Turkiye has become the largest foreign investor in Montenegro and that our economic relations are experiencing strong momentum,” Genc added.
