Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – In an interview with the BBC, Minister of Tourism Simonida Kordic said that Montenegro was planning ahead to prevent over-tourism, which had become a problem in some neighbouring countries.
According to a press release issued by the Ministry, she explained to Tanya Beckett how communication, collaboration with other Balkan nations and diversification were being used to attract people to the mountains, as well as the beaches.
“It is a small country, but so rich in terms of different potentials, experiences, culture models, and obviously nature, which is impressive. That is something that is increasingly being recognized by our guests,” said Kordic.
She said that she strongly believed that tourism was more about collaboration, rather than competition.
