Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to Monstat, 8.14 million litres of cow milk were purchased in the second quarter, 5.8 percent more than in last year’s corresponding period.

The Statistical Office stated in a press release that, compared with corresponding period of 2025, the average dairy fat content measured in the second quarter decreased by 3.1 percent, while the protein content was 0.2 percent lower.

“Compared with the same quarter of 2025, production of sour cream increased by 10.5 percent and fermented dairy products by 8.1 percent, while production of cream fell by 14.1 percent, drinking milk by 11.2 percent, and cheese by 1.3 percent,” the press release reads.
