The average net salary in Montenegro amounted to €1,040 in August, up 0.3 percent on July.

According to the Statistical Office, the average net salary increased by 2.5 percent in August, compared to last year’s corresponding period.

The average gross salary in Montenegro reached €1,240 in August.

“Given that, compared with July, the consumer prices increased by 1.2 percent in August, the real wages in Montenegro decreased by 0.9 percent,” Monstat stated in a press release.

In August, average net salaries increased in the field of other services, real estate, public administration and defence: mandatory social insurance, water supply and wastewater management, electricity and gas supply and air conditioning, financial and insurance services, processing industry, retail and wholesale trade, and maintenance of motor vehicles and motorcycles, transport and warehousing, accommodation and food services, healthcare and social welfare.

In the same period, average net salaries decreased in the field of art, entertainment and recreation, agriculture, forestry and fisheries, information and communications, administrative and supporting services, civil engineering, professional, scientific and technical activities, mining and quarrying.
