Podgorica, (MINA) – Luxembourg is an important ally on Montenegro’s European path, Montenegrin President Jakov Milatovic said.

Milatovic wrote on the X social network that he discussed with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg Javier Bettel the conclusion of Montenegro’s EU accession negotiations, the rule of law and the reforms that Montenegro must accelerate in order to close the remaining chapters as soon as possible.

“Luxembourg is a strong friend of Montenegro and an important ally on our European path”, said Milatovic.

“We have the support. It’s time to finish the job and bring Montenegro into the EU by 2028”, said Milatovic.
