Memorandum of cooperation for “Alexander the Great” Chair of Studies at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis attended the signing ceremony of the memorandum of cooperation for the operation of the “Alexander the Great” Chair of Studies at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
The prime minister expressed his satisfaction with this event, citing two reasons. The first is that the establishment of thematic chairs at universities is common in foreign countries and the second is because the sponsor of this chair is the private sector.
Deputy Minister of Interior (Macedonia-Thrace) Kostas Gioulekas stated that the establishment of the chair proceeded, following his own proposal, in a meeting with the rectors of the Universities in Northern Greece, and the Ministry of Education and Science is, also, symbolically one of the sponsors.
The rector of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Kyriakos Anastasiades, described the signing of the memorandum for the “Alexander the Great” Chair of Studies as a “contract with history.”
