Skopje, 25 September 2024 (MIA) — The popular Macedonian writer of books for young readers Gorjan Petrevski’s book “The Same Eyes,” published in Bulgarian in 2024 by Izida, will be featured at the 13th Literature Night in Sofia. Excerpts from the book will be read by actors at one of the event’s so-called “reading nests,” organizers said.
According to the Cultural and Informational Center of the Republic of North Macedonia in Sofia, works by international authors will be read “in atypical spaces for literature” in ten cities across Bulgaria.
The Sofia reading sessions will take place between 6 pm and 9:30 pm at various locations where actors, journalists, translators, musicians, and authors will read excerpts from 19 books by authors from 19 different countries.
Excerpts from Petrevski’s novel will be read by actor and director Gjorgi Georgiev Antika and actor Igor Damjanov at the Macedonian Reading Nest.
The authors and their book excerpts to be read are chosen by the embassies and cultural institutions of their respective countries.
