Kurti: To preserve the community we must fight discrimination

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, on the second day of the Western Balkans Summit, has pledged to work to defeat racism and fight inequality.

Kurti told those present that in order to preserve the community they must fight discrimination, and to deal with these cases he added that everyone must work together.

Kurti added that with investments from the Government in this direction, they intend to offer internships to young people from non-majority communities, in order to have greater involvement from them.

Meanwhile, the representative of the Croatian Parliament, Veljko Kajtazi, through a video message, said that through cooperation with the institutions, they are trying to do their best to remove discrimination between the Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities.

This summit aims to bring together the countries of the Western Balkans, governments, civil society, independent experts, community individuals to collectively address discrimination against the Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities.
