Krasniqi: ESG standards are essential for moving forward and staying competitive in the global market
While expressing gratitude for the support from the Western Balkans Fund, Krasniqi pointed out that the successful completion of this important project with other countries is proof of the extraordinary impact when forces are united.
“The regional conference on ESG standards being held today in Pristina marks a crucial moment for developing new opportunities for our companies in general. In a world where global challenges such as climate change, social inequality, and governance transparency are more important than ever, ESG standards are no longer a solution. They are a necessity for moving forward and staying competitive in the global market. As the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kosovo, we are proud that, together with partners from the region, we are successfully completing this important project for all the countries of the Western Balkans. This cooperation is proof of the power of joint action and the extraordinary impact we can achieve when we unite our forces… Businesses remain the main pillar of this journey, and thanks to this cooperation, we have developed our business capacities, helping us take confident steps toward a larger and more competitive market…” said Krasniqi.
Meanwhile, the manager of the Western Balkans Fund, Dafina Beqiri, emphasized that the scheme for these grants is continuously marking success.
According to her, the organization of this conference by the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce and Industry not only created partnerships with regional countries but also offered other organizations opportunities for business development and job creation.
“This grant scheme has marked further success. Because the fund supports projects that are in partnership with other organizations from the region. This time, the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce and Industry has not only created partnerships with more regional partners but has also brought in new organizations to which it has offered more opportunities for how to develop business and standards for a business that offers more jobs. For us, it is a great pleasure to cooperate with the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce and Industry, but also to continue supporting projects not only in Kosovo but across the entire region. Whenever we come together, the more we have common topics that move the region forward and bring us closer to the European Union,” emphasized Beqiri.
Since this conference also aimed to provide networking opportunities for participants, regional partners and businesses shared their experiences in achieving ESG standards.
As part of the event, the Chairman of the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce and Industry Assembly, Hamdi Malushaj, presented certificates of appreciation to the partners present at the conference.
This conference will feature various panels discussing the importance of meeting ESG requirements. This conference has gathered local, regional, and international institutions, businesses, associations, and civil society organizations.
