The remains of 23 people have been found in mass graves in Kalludër e Vogël and Jabukë in Zubin Potok. They are suspected to belong to a group of the same number of people who went missing during the last war in Kosovo.

 Thirteen of them were found at the first location, between Kalludër e Madhe and Kalludër e Vogël, four in Jabukë, while the remains of six people were found at another location in Kalludër.

 This was announced today by acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti during the presentation of the summary report of the Government Commission on Missing Persons regarding excavations in the Municipality of Zubin Potok.

The acting head of government said that the identification phase has already begun, after samples from the remains were sent for DNA analysis.

He said that the number 23 corresponds with what is known as the Group of Intellectuals, who on April 19, 1999, were detained, abducted and, according to him, executed by Serbian forces.

Meanwhile, the head of the Government Commission on Missing Persons, Agron Limani, said that searches had also been conducted in this area previously, but that, according to him, they had not been as successful as the excavations carried out over the past month.
