Kosovo will continue to be an important hub of international handball throughout 2026. This month in Prishtina, the Mediterranean Championship for U16 women handball players will be held, with the participation of 12 national teams.

Meanwhile, the European Handball Federation (EHF) has confirmed that in July 2026, Kosovo will host two European Championships for men’s handball players under the age of 20. The Men’s 20 EHF Championships will take place from July 12 to 19 in Prishtina, with the participation of 13 national teams.

This decision was approved by the EHF Executive Committee during its meeting in Herning, Denmark. The Handball Federation of Kosovo (FHK) has established a strong and reliable partnership with the EHF and has received high praise for the organization of major international events.
