Eliza Hoxha, organizer of the “Freedom Has a Name” platform, addressed the thousands of people present at the “Kosovo Awaits” Freedom March, stating that Kosovo expects justice and dignity for the former KLA leaders.

“That march was called the March for Freedom, and—ironically—today, 27 years later, the people of Kosovo are marching for freedom; marching for the freedom of those who brought us our freedom—for the freedom of their own liberators. Today, we march for those who rose up during our darkest days, for those who dreamed and dared more than most of us, for the historical truth of Kosovo and a people’s right to be free. Today, we march with the KLA and for the KLA, because the KLA unites us; it united us in the past and unites us today—and will forevermore,” said Hoxha.

Hoxha stated that Kosovo expects dignity.

“From Pristina, we tell the world that Kosovo expects justice, Kosovo expects dignity, and Kosovo is waiting for Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi, and Rexhep Selimi to return home,” she said, expressing the hope that this would be the final battle for the liberators.

Following the trial, the final verdict for former President Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi, and Rexhep Selimi is set to be delivered on September 16.
