Kosovo and Saudi Arabia have signed an agreement for air services. This agreement was signed between the Minister of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure, Liburn Aliu and the Executive Vice President at Air Transport and International Cooperation, Ali Bin Mohammed Rajab.

The Minister of the Environment, Liburn Aliu, said that the signing of the agreement will improve the lives of citizens and that it promotes a prosperous future.

“The signing of this agreement marks a moment in our two nation’s commitment on enhancement connectivity, fostering economy growth and promoting cultural exchange.  Air transport is not just a means of travel; it is a bridge that connects people, businesses and ideas across the borders. The kingdom of Saudi Arabia has long been a key partner in our region, and this agreement will facilitate the greater movement of goods and people between our countries. It will open new opportunities for our air lines, strengthen tourism and our economies”, said Aliu.

The Executive Vice President at Air Transport and International Cooperation, Ali Bin Mohammed Rajab, who is staying for the first time in Kosovo, said that the country is experiencing a development.

“We understand that we have 50 percent growth in the first five years, and the goals will continue in the next few years. Saudi Arabia is one of the first countries that recognized the independence of Kosovo, Saudi Arabia always and supported Kosovo in all aspects. We are trying to promote more of culture exchange, more cooperation between both countries. Today we are signing a historical agreement to promote direct flights between Kosovo and Saudi Arabia, and I’m truly happy to announce with this signing of this agreement, that Airline will start direct flights starting from October 2025, and they will also work hard to even start even before. This is definitely the result of the agreement that we are signed today, we expect the impact of the signing will promote more of Saudi tourists to visit Kosovo and enjoy the beauty of Kosovo and the kindness of the people of Kosovo”, he said.
