Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Minister of Tourism Simonida Kordic said that, by being selected as the European Youth Capital for 2028, Podgorica has not only earned a title but also gained the opportunity to become a dynamic center of cultural and tourism events.

She congratulated Mayor Sasa Mujovic, President of the Capital City Council Jelena Borovinic Bojovic, and their teams on Podgorica’s selection as the European Youth Capital 2028.

According to her, this recognition shows that the creativity, enthusiasm, and vision of Montenegro’s youth have the power to shape the country’s future.

“Podgorica is not only receiving a new European title, but also the chance to become a vibrant hub of cultural and tourism activity,” Kordic said.

She expressed confidence that the creativity and initiative of young people will contribute to developing new programmes, innovative events, and authentic experiences that will make Montenegro even more attractive to visitors from across Europe.
