Italy ‘won’t be intimidated’ after attack on base in Kuwait

Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said Italy will not be intimidated after a drone attack on an airbase in Kuwait destroyed a Italian military remotely piloted aircraft on Sunday as Iran continues to lash out in response to the attacks by Israel and the United States.

No one was hurt in the drone strike, which came just days after Italian base in Erbil, in Iraqi Kurdistan, was hit.
There were no injuries in the Erbil attack either.
“We will not be intimidated; the Italian missions continue,” Tajani told Mediaset television.
He added that Italy was reducing the number of troops at bases in the region while “upholding our international commitments”.
He also stressed that Italy is not at war with anyone and said he does not think Italians are a target.
