IT workers expect their salaries to increase from 7,000 to 10,000 RON per month, on average
IT is the field in which employees’ salary expectations have increased the most in the last year, to 10,000 RON per month, on average, according to an analysis published on Thursday by the eJobs online recruitment platform.

The average salary in this sector is currently 7,000 RON, net, per month.
According to eJobs, since the beginning of the year until now, almost 20,000 new jobs have been put on the market for the IT sector, down by about 15% compared to the same period last year. Applications, on the other hand, remained very close to the level for the period January – September 2024, with 820,000 applications being registered compared to 850,000 in 2023.
The highest salaries for specialists who do not hold managerial positions are for IT architect – 15,000 RON, but with average expectations of 20,000 RON, software developer – 8,300 RON (with expectations that go up to 11,000 RON), data engineer – 8,500 RON (and expectations of 11,000 RON) or full stack developer – 8,000 RON vs. expectations of 10,000 RON per month. Even for juniors with a maximum of two years of experience, the average salary is 4,500 RON. The average increases to 6,700 RON for those who have between two and five years of experience, while seniors with more than five years of experience fall within an average salary of 10,000 RON, net.
As far as managers are concerned, salaries increase exponentially, so that the average net salary, at national level, for a CTO is 12,000 RON, while the expectations of candidates for this position start from 16,000 RON.
