Increase in the number of newly registered vehicles in BiH
SARAJEVO, January 17 (FENA) – In December 2024, 8,505 motor vehicles were registered for the first time in Bosnia and Herzegovina, representing a 20.8 percent increase compared to December of the previous year.
Among the total number of newly registered vehicles in December, the majority were passenger cars (82.8 percent) and trucks (7.1 percent), while the smallest share was from mopeds (0.2 percent), announced the Agency for Statistics of BiH.
In total, 110,736 vehicles were registered for the first time in 2024, an increase of 19,749 vehicles, or 21.7 percent more compared to the previous year. There were 84,928 passenger cars (up by 23.8 percent) and 7,408 newly registered trucks (up by 26.1 percent).
In 2024, there were 17,765 newly registered motor vehicles, an increase of 1,189 vehicles, or 7.2 percent, compared to the previous year. The number of new passenger cars was 9,254 (up by 2.6 percent), and trucks numbered 1,688 (up by 11.1 percent).
