ICI Bucharest, AGERPRES partner for ‘AI App – Agerpres News’ media content reliability project
Bucharest, Nov 12 /Agerpres/ – The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest and National News Agency AGERPRES are launching on November 15 the project “AI App – Agerpres News” intended to revolutionize the way information is disseminated to the general public, ICI Bucharest announced on Tuesday, stating that the launching event will take place at the Palace of Parliament.
All Romanian news producers will be invited to join the project and contribute to the development of a media ecosystem based on transparency, verifiability and responsibility.
“AI App – Agerpres News” uses artificial intelligence to deliver quality news content and by integrating blockchain technology and NFTs, the project aims to vouch for information authenticity and provenance, promoting quality journalism and protecting the public of the risks of disinformation,” the ICI Bucharest release shows.
The outcomes of the pilot project “Agerpres Daily News | Hold History” that ran October 21 – 31 will also be presented at the event, as it highlighted the potential of advanced technologies in combating disinformation and promote quality journalism.
The pilot project “Agerpres Daily News | Hold History” implemented by AGERPRES demonstrated how innovative technologies can contribute to improving the news fact-checking process, offering a secure solution for archiving and accessing information in a transparent and efficient way, ICI Bucharest said.
Also, the impact of these technologies on the Romanian media ecosystem, and national and international scale-up possibilities for the “AI App – Agerpres News” project will be discussed at the event. Last but not least, the participants will have the opportunity to learn more about how they can actively contribute to this project, the release concludes.
