Greece highlighted in European Commission’s report on current term

BRUSSELS (ANA-MPA/M. Aroni) -The European Commission’s report on its work since the start of its current term on December 1, 2024, and ahead of Ursula von der Leyen’ speech on September 10, makes two important references to Greece.

“Among the highlights are the Greek Antinero programme, which focuses on forest protection and climate change resilience and is supported by the Recovery Fund (NextGenerationEU). Additionally, the islands of Agios Efstratios and Halki are emerging as ‘models’ of climate neutrality and energy self-sufficiency, aided by Cohesion Policy and the Recovery Fund.”

The Commission stresses that it has already put into practice the commitments it made in its policy guidelines, without deviating from its course, despite the current, much more unstable and competitive international environment.
