Podgorica, (MINA) – Members of the rescue and protection services on the front line of fire defense will each receive EUR 1500 from the Capital City, while the Government will finance their seven-day stay at the “Dr Simo Milosevic” Institute.
In a joint statement, Prime Minister Milojko Spajic and Mayor Sasa Mujovic noted that the wildfires in Montenegro have caused huge damage.
They expressed their special respect and gratitude to members of the rescue and protection services who were on the front line of defense day and night.
“Aware of the extraordinary effort and risk that firefighters face in combating fires, as an expression of gratitude for their efforts, the Capital City, with the consent of the Government, will reward each firefighter with EUR 1500, paid as EUR 500 per month over the next three months”, the press release said.
The government will also cover the costs of their seven-day stay at the “Dr Simo Milosevic” Institute.
