Exports to Greece record an increase of over 2 billion ALL

TIRANA, July 22 /ATA/ Albanian exports to Greece during the first half of the year increased by over 2 billion ALL, compared to the same period a year ago.

According to the official data of the Institute of Statistics, INSTAT, exports during the January-June period are reckoned at 16.1 billion ALL, while in the same period of 2022 they were 13.9 billion ALL.

Albania’s trade exchanges with Greece during this period accounted for 6.8% of the total trade volume. In value, they reached over ALL 45.5 billion.

Unlike exports, imports of goods from Greece to Albania decreased during the 6-month period. They are estimated for the period at 29.3 billion ALL, when in the same period, a year ago (2022), goods worth 33.3 billion ALL were imported.

In the value of goods exported to the neighboring country, the group of goods “minerals, fuels, electricity” worth 5.8 billion ALL and the group “textiles and footwear” have the highest share. The export of this category reached the value of over 3.6 billion ALL for this period.
