Kosova is getting ready for another historic appearance at the Mediterranean Games “Taranto 2026”, where it will participate with the largest delegation in its history in this major international event.

A total of 163 Kosovar athletes will compete in Taranto, of which 87 are men and 76 are women, in 21 sports. For the first time, Kosovo will also compete in four team sports – football, volleyball, handball and 3×3 basketball.

In the past two editions of the Mediterranean Games, Kosovo has won a total of 10 medals – nine in judo and one in boxing. Now, in Taranto, the aim is to extend this medal success to other sports.

The Mediterranean Games “Taranto 2026” will take place from August 21 to September 3 in Italy. For Kosovo, this edition is expected to be one of the most important sport events of the year, not only for the large number of competitors, but also for the scope of participation in 21 sports.
