EU investments in education, opportunities for Kosovar youth to go to facilities that meet European standards
Head of the EU Office in Kosovo, Tomas Szunyog, visited on Monday the construction site of the new facilities for the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of the University of Prishtina, where he saw closely the works being done in this facility.
Ambassador Szunyog, while expressing his happiness with the construction of this facility, hopes that new students could go to the building to study already in the academic year starting from October 2025. In this regard, he underlined that in a way, through these initiatives, the young Kosovar people are being helped to enter the facilities that meet European standards.
After the visit with the current rector of the UP, Qerim Qerimi, Szunyog adds that the EU remains the biggest donor for Kosovo, and has emphasized that this is a tangible result, not only for this construction work, but also for the future of Kosovo, in this case the students.
Ambassador Szunyog said that this initiative is particularly interesting for those who want to work in the field of IT or ICT.
Meanwhile, the rector, Qerim Qerimi, together with the workers who were performing the work in this facility, also expressed their gratitude to the EU’s help.
